Centralization of surgical kidney cancer is a growing trend that is supported by the association between decreased mortality and care at a high-volume center; however, the mediators of this association are not well understood. In this talk, we will explore what is known about cancer care outcomes at high-volume centers, why center volume appears important, and our research investigating specific quality metrics that drive this association.

The COVID-19 pandemic impacted all aspects of health care, including cancer care. In this talk, we will examine how the pandemic influenced the timing of cancer surgery and cancer screening.
