CRHC faculty are studying the issue of unsafe use of medications from several angles, including the quality and value of prescribing, insurance and benefit design, diffusion of new drugs, polypharmacy and drug safety, and medication adherence. Learn more »

Substance Use Disorders

CRHC faculty are tackling the serious problems of substance use disorders and overdoses through interventions to increase PCPs’ adherence to opioid prescribing guidelines; comparative effectiveness trials to help PCPs safely treat acute pain and avoid overprescribing opioids; and tailoring treatment for people living with HIV to try to reduce their chronic pain. Learn more »
