Millions of adults care for a parent with cancer while juggling careers and childcare, which can cause significant financial, emotional, and social burdens, and negatively impact their parent’s care and wellbeing. Yet, little is known about this caregiver population or how to support them. This lecture describes Dr. Fenton’s research on adult-child caregivers, their experiences and needs, and potential interventions to support them and their parent with cancer.
