Dr. Tasha Alston is a social worker and educational psychologist with over 24 years of experience in the field of social work and educational psychology. Dr. Alston completed her doctorate in educational psychology from the University of Georgia located in Athens, Georgia. Dr. Alston also earned her master’s degree in social work from Clark Atlanta University located in Atlanta, Georgia and her bachelor’s degree in social work from Siena College located in Loudonville, New York.

Dr. Alston’s research interests combine both social work and educational psychology. Dr. Alston specializes in research and community work that focuses on African American fathers' involvement in education, fatherhood, equity in education, diversity, equity and inclusion, school, family and community partnerships, and strengthening families. Dr. Tasha Alston is the author of the book African American Fathers Involvement in their Children’s Education.
