Kathleen M. McTigue, MD, MS, MPH joined the University of Pittsburgh faculty in 2002. She is trained in internal medicine, preventive medicine, and public health and has joint appointments in Medicine, Epidemiology, and Clinical/Translational Science. Her research interests are in: (a) the prevention of chronic disease, with focuses on obesity, health behaviors, and information technology; (b) identifying effective approaches to engaging community members as research partners in patient-centered health research; and (c) infrastructure to support the use of real-world evidence in pragmatic research. As contact PI for the PaTH Clinical Research Network, a partnering network in PCORnet, Dr. McTigue works to design and support resources for investigators interested in research that leverages health record data and/or is integrated with patient care.

Dr. McTigue enjoys bicycling, kayaking with her trusty corgi, and parenting a fabulous middle-schooler.
