We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Joyce Chang has been appointed as the new Director of PhD Faculty Affairs in the Division of General Internal Medicine. Joyce completed her PhD in biostatistics in 1998 and immediately joined the DGIM faculty where she achieved the rank of Full Professor in 2013. Joyce continues to maintain a highly successful team-science research career and instructs several courses each year in the ICRE and for the Department of Biostatistics. She is a prolific and highly sought-after mentor of PhD students and junior faculty. Joyce has been highly involved in PhD-related activities and we are certain she will bring her energy, thoughtfulness, and humor to the promotion of well-being among the PhD/similar faculty.
