In this presentation, Dr. Mosley will present 3 case studies to demonstrate how community-based participatory research can be used to improve reproductive health care services. First, a community-led study by SisterLove and Dr. Mosley called the Georgia Medication Abortion project. Second, a study co-led by Mosley and Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies Coalition called the Georgia Medication Abortion Study. Then a study of Self-Assessed Pregnancy Acceptability, where University of Pittsburgh researchers are engaging community members and organizations to develop a novel epidemiological measure that could improve access to parenting support, abortion care, and adoption services.
