The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) is an independent, nonprofit research organization that seeks to empower patients and others with actionable information about their health and healthcare choices. Since PCORI’s Congressional authorization in 2019, PCORI has awarded more than $4.5 billion to fund patient-centered comparative clinical effectiveness research (CER). This talk will review aspects of infrastructure and innovation in patient-centered CER, highlighting PCORI’s resources and funding opportunities in research methodology and data, including PCORnet®.
